The SWO Safety Group continues to be a powerful force for reducing injury and severity rates in Ontario’s forest industry. Participants in this voluntary program are recognized as a group of firms with injury experience significantly better than the average of their individual rate groups.

SWO Safety Group members continue to ride the momentum of the program through regular meetings and sharing of knowledge and material with other participating firms, and to take advantage of the continuous improvement encouraged by the group. These advantages are enhanced by the fact that participation in the program enables them to share in substantial annual rebates on WSIB premiums based on successful completion of annual program goals.
