Health and Safety Statistics 2008
Welcome to our annual statistical review of the state of health and safety in the forestry WSIB rate groups. The purpose of this information is to provide a snapshot of injury trends and of the common types and causes of injuries in your forestry workplaces in 2008. This information can help you identify and correct possible weaknesses in your health and safety program.

Our statistical review includes detailed tables with which you can compare your firm’s record of lost-time injuries (LTI) and no-lost-time injuries (NLTI) in 2008 with that of similar-sized firms in your rate group. The tables aren’t intended to single out the best firm in any particular aspect of health and safety. The rankings are designed mainly to provide you with an idea of how your company’s injury record compares to firms of a similar size.

To ensure anonymity in the firm-by-firm tables, each firm is listed using the last four numerals of their WSIB firm identification number, often followed by one or two letters. To locate your statistics, look for your WSIB firm number in the appropriate table.
